Default Telus

I could shit out a better company.

I called Telus, and asked for my phone to be unhooked, but keep the internet up. They told me that is a "special" request. I see no problem with paying the 5 bucks it would cost me to do that because I would not have to pay whatever I had to pay for the phone bill anymore, I'm still saving money. Good idea you think? WRONG. Some how the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing retards over there, shut off my INTERNET and left my phone up. I called them and asked what the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO was going on, they explained, I got mad, I ended up paying them again for a reconnection fee. Woo way to go Telus, RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed me over twice now. Once I finally get this shit up and running, I try to install my router, bad idea. Apparently my Modem is not compatible with my router, or Telus won't let me use one. Either way their RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing retarded because I had my router up and working 6 days ago.

Internet works fine without the router. But I cannot connect to Gamesurge or Enterthegame, the 2 servers I use. All the other servers are fine. I cannot use my laptop unless I unhook my desktop PC from the intrenet. All of my parents work shit is on the laptop, as is my homework. I swear Telus did that shit on purpose.

Anyone want to go bomb some buildings?

RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO you Telus, I'm getting Cable.

Ya, umm just switch companys. You dont really need a big rant on it even though you are mad about it. It doesnt help to yell and scream and curse when we cant do anything about it. Stop using Telus and get Cable, its alot easier.

Telus is a telecommunications company in Canada, nameley: British Columbia, Alberta, and Québec. They were notorious for treating customers like dirt and making them wait for long amounts of time to get help over the telephone. I speak for personal experience when I say I was told to wait for 6 hours.

They recently had a labour dispute and what eneded up happening is that Telus BLOCKED access to the union website in retaliation for the strike.

The government, from what I've been told, has straightened them out, now when you call and you have to wait, they offer to call you back when an operator is busy. (Usually not more than 15 min).

They've messed around with me, and let me tell you, Telus are pushovers. . Just rant politley about how you've been treated like dirt, be firm, oh and it never hurts to use the magic word: Shaw, use it liberally, they love to agree with you when you say that! You can usually squeeze out several months worth of free service if they've messed around with you and you should be able to regain every little penny they've swindled out of you.

Anyway, good luck with dealing with them. I've come out far ahead of the game from my quarrels with them.

Telus is going to tell you that your router is "incompatible" because they want you to buy more IP addresses. By "incompatible" they mean they're not going to give you tech support on how to make it work.

This sounds like DSL, so you need to make sure your router is set up correctly for it. It probably was in the past, but when your access got turned off you no doubt unhooked everything trying to get it back and the router probably lost its settings. It's not just plug-and-play, and you may need to fiddle with some of the more crazy router settings like MAC address cloning and you definitely need your username and password stored in the router. You can usually do this from the router setup webpage.

If that last paragraph made no sense, find someone with router experience and get them to help you out.
